WELCOME TO LIFELINES CONFERENCE!

 

WELCOME:

The Thalassemia Foundation of Canada and CanHaem is proud to present “Lifelines”, the 2015 Pan-Canadian Thalassemia Conference. Scheduled for September 25th and 26th, this event will be of interest to healthcare professionals and patients and families. Over 2 days we shall provide an update on the current management of Thalassemia, new and emerging therapies, and practical workshops. The conference faculty is composed of Canadian and international experts. There will be interactive sessions and Q&As throughout the conference. Although the first day is aimed primarily at healthcare providers, patients and families are strongly encouraged to register for both days.

ACCREDITATION:

We are pleased to announce that the conference is a University of Toronto accredited event and is approved for: Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada 13.0 Section 1 credits, and The American Medical Association 13.0 Category 1 credits.

 

ACCOMMODATION:

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION: ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED

The organisers welcome the submission of relevant abstracts from trainees and other healthcare professionals. Further information is available here.

 

TRAVEL BURSARIES:

Limited travel bursaries are available for patients and families who wish to attend, but would otherwise be unable to do so. Please contact your local Thalassemia group or the Thalassemia Foundation of Canada for further information.

 

SOCIAL EVENT:

A welcome cocktail reception will be hosted at the conference hotel on the Friday night.
